Lost or Misplaced Green Cards

If you have lost or misplaced your "green card" (Form I-551), the Consular Section may be able to issue you a transportation letter, which would permit you to return to the United States. In order to issue such a letter, the Embassy must interview you and obtain confirmation of your resident alien status. Knowing your alien registration number will expedite the process, however, it may still take our staff some time to obtain the necessary confirmation. There is a USD 165 fee or the equivalent in Armenian dram for the transportation letter. The fee must be paid in cash.
